How do I care for my ceramic tile table?
Our tile tables are made with high quality, glazed ceramic tiles. This tabletop is one of the most durable and easy to maintain surfaces you can choose. With proper care and maintenance, it will retain its original beauty and luster for many years.
All that's required is a quick wipe with a damp cloth. We don't advise using harsh cleaning agents (such as steel wool pads) because they can scratch or damage the tile surface. Prompt clean up of spills and regular cleaning will keep the table looking its best. The tiles never need to be waxed or polished.
Maintaining the grout on your tile table is easy, too. We use silicone grout, rather than cement, on our ceramic tile tables. This grout is nonporous and very resistant to normal household spills. Again, simply wipe it clean with a damp cloth.
The edge and base of your tile table are made of solid Northern Appalachian Red Oak or hard rock maple. Regular cleaning with a soft damp cloth and occasional polishing with a non-silicone polish or wax will maintain the beauty of the hardwood.
Caution: Since ceramic tile is like stone, objects such as glasses, plates, cups, etc. may break if dropped on this surface. Also, do not use your ceramic tile tabletop as a cutting board!
